I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve been the CEO working harder than everyone else in the building – or at least feeling that when when you are the one turning on and off the lights. I’ve lived the struggle to scale from $10M to $100M (more than once after making quick work from 0-$5M growth. I’ve had to make the hard call to replace team members who weren’t pulling their weight even when I liked them personally and respected their expertise. And I’ve been brought in by investors to augment founders and scale companies to position for exit.

Over 30+ years, I’ve been a five-time VC/PE-funded CEO and two-time Fortune 100 executive. I’ve participated in over $11 billion in exits including Concur’s sale to SAP, Platinum’s sale to Computer Associates, Cybertrust’s sale to Verizon, and MIPS IPO and later sale to Silicon Graphics.
It all began when I bootstrapped my first software company, AIB Software, in my mid-20s and sold it four years later for 100x my cash investment and a 10x return for my investors.
